Echo Maki was born and raised in a small village in Wisconsin. At the age of 3, she began training in tap and ballet, along with singing and music theory. At 8, she began training in gymnastics where she received National recognition her first year in. As school progressed, she was involved in many physical sports, while excelling in musical arts and dance, broadening her skill set and performance experience to include jazz, hip hop, lyrical, pom, and musical theatre. Echo graduated High School with multiple Scholar Athlete awards and continued her education through the University of Minnesota. While attending University, Echo began training vigorously in Modern dance, African Diaspora dance, Ballet, Jazz, and Music Theory. From this foundation, Echo encountered an underground community where she eagerly became fully involved in other outlets of dance and art such as Contact Improvisational dance, experimental theatre, and Acro-Yoga. Echo left the University of Minnesota and moved to Los Angeles, where she began studying Interdisciplinary Art with numerous professionals and Art Schools, where she expanded her experience to include Ballroom Dance, Yoga, and Salsa. As her passion grew, her love for Salsa evolved, where she found Sin City Salseros. In 2015, Echo moved to Las Vegas and began dancing and training in Salsa, Bachata, Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Rumba, and hip-hop with Sin City Salseros. Today, Echo dances for Sin City Salseros’ professional team and Co-Directs Sin City Stilo.
